The holiday rush is over, and the New Year is upon us.  The trend is for Spring to be the biggest home buying and selling season of the year.  However, this month we are seeing more activity than usual for this time of year.  We have a lot of sellers putting their homes on the market now instead of waiting until Spring. And, there have been many buyers calling us to start their home search.  It seems that many buyers and sellers are trying to get a head start this year.

Below is a Hickory Real Estate Market Snapshot.  Based on current information there is only 5 months of inventory.  Last year at this time there was 8 months of inventory.  When a market has less than 6 months of inventory, it is considered a Seller's Market.

If you are considering selling your home and buying something bigger, now is a good time. There is currently a high demand for homes priced between $125,000 and $200,000.  Homes in this price range are going under contract quickly.  Please give us a call or click here, if you are thinking about selling your home.
