Dear Friends,
I hope everyone had a great summer. The local real estate market has been a mixed bag the last couple months. July was really busy, with a lot of people trying to get into their new homes before school started. However, in August the market slowed down a little bit. We noticed that it does that every year because everyone wants to get in that last summer vacation and get the kids ready to start school.
Now that we are in September, there is still a shortage of homes available priced under $275,000. Hopefully some more homes will come on the market this Fall, to satisfy the demand. We expect more activity in the higher price ranges as well, due to the fact that many job relocations seem to happen in the 4th quarter.
If you know anyone looking to sell their home, talk to us soon. September through November is almost as busy as April through June, so the goal would be to maximize this time frame.
