Festival recap and photos!

GRandJazzFest presented by DTE Energy Foundation brought 11 diverse jazz performance acts to the Rosa Parks Circle stage in downtown Grand Rapids. Headlining the 5th annual GRandJazzFest was trumpeter Cindy Bradley who drew crowds of people despite the crazy weather earlier in the day. Thank you to the Grand Rapids Art Museum for letting all of us fest organizers and fest goers stay in its basement to ride out the tornados that had been sited in and around Grand Rapids that Saturday afternoon! Although there was a lot of property damage that day all over West Michigan, thank goodness no one was seriously injured in any of the tornados -- and amazingly, Rosa Parks Circle where our festival was held only had a small tent blow over. GRandJazzFest went on without incident afterward and Sunday's weather turned out to be beautiful!
If you missed the fest and want to read about who performed, visit our performers page here. We've also been uploading photos from the fest to our Flickr site and you can find more on our Facebook page. Many thanks to our awesome pro photographer Chris Wilson for taking literally thousands of photos. Check 'em out -- maybe you'll see yourself! Here are just a few ...
