Welcome to ECG's monthly newsletter, providing insights and advice about all things HR!
April 2014

Greetings from ECG!

Year over year, time is running faster and faster... Is it because we’re all getting a bit older? Maybe; but perhaps it is just because we have been so busy!  Can you believe that the first quarter is already over, and summer will soon be here?  Thinking about these past few months of 2014, all we can say is that it has been a whirlwind!

We are pleased to announce that the Hospitality Industry Benefits & Compensation Survey process is complete. This year, a total of 62 Southern California hotels participated in the survey, representing 21,324 guest rooms and 19,208 full time employees. We are in full swing working now on the Atlanta/Buckhead Hospitality Benefits & Compensation Survey as well as a new industry survey: The Golf & Country Club Industry for Southern California. Please visit www.ExecutiveHRConsulting.com on the “home” page for an update of all survey processing.

We have placed a Director of Human Resources and a Director of Sales & Marketing for a new hotel property opening up near downtown Los Angeles. We have three new retainer clients in and outside of the hospitality arena. We have conducted a series of investigations of harassment, conducted a DOL audit, I-9 audit and provided a number of “Management Training 101” training workshops. It is amazing that all this was done in just a few months!

On a more personal note, please join me in extending our congratulations to Clark and Tiffany Souers for the birth of their second child Tobin.  Tobin’s big brother Jayden is now two years old.  We now look forward to Clark spending more time with us here at ECG.
