GreenS: Supporters for green public procurement

With the expansion of the Covenant of Mayors initiative and the progress of Sustainable Energy Action Plans’ (SEAPs) implementation across Europe, the necessity of consistent improvement of the performance is growing. One of the main challenges that public authorities face in this process is achievement of higher results with limited resources. GreenS project is designed to focus the attention of public authorities to the Green Public Procurement (GPP), Life Cycle Cost of the products and Life Cycle Procurement analysis as part of their means to achieving the ambitious goals for exceeding the EU 20% CO2 reduction by 2020. Read more.  

Green economy is one of Slovenia’s strategic guideline

On 29th of October 2015 Slovenian Central Government adopted the Framework programme for a transition to a green economy and the action programme for 2015 and 2016 which was publically debated before. Read More.

On December 01, 2015, the Department of Environment in collaboration with Cyprus Energy Agency organised the second Awards Ceremony of Green Public Procurement in Cyprus. Read More.

Meeting at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development of the Republic of Latvia

Barcelona invites cities to follow its lead on sustainable procurement

Public procurers from across Europe gathered at the '15 Procurament Seminar organised by ICLEI in Barcelona (Spain) last week to learn from the city’s experiences of using sustainable procurement to reduce its ecological footprint and improve citizens’ quality of life. Read More.
