Winter in Bullarto can be magical. At 800mt above sea level, overnight temperatures are below average, and can be very windy.
This creates a beautiful background for an intimate stay, with cool, crisp days, and morning and evening mists.
Although the kitchen garden is dormant, the forest is not. There is still bird life around, and a stroll through trees shrouded in mist is most invigorating before a drink or two by the fire at the lakeside Pavilion. Snuggle up on one of the lounges with a blanket, and enjoy the stillness of the lake.
Soft light gently kisses the trees in the late afternoon, and the air smells clean and fresh. Snow is not uncommon during the winter, and with wombats being more active at this time of year, you may be able to see their prints in the snow, or hear rustling in the undergrowth as they search for their supper.
The wind singing through the trees outside is a beautiful backdrop while enjoying a winter feast of local produce and wines inside. Winter in Bullarto is special, come and discover the magic for yourself.
