Act Now to Save the Garden, Write Mayor de Blasio Today!

Dear Neighbors and Friends,

Despite strong opposition from the community, the NYC Department of Housing Preservation & Development (HPD) plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to developers to build affordable housing that would destroy Elizabeth Street Garden. We expect HPD to issue an RFP shortly.

We need your help now. Write Mayor de Blasio to tell him that you oppose the City’s plan to issue an RFP!

How You Can Help:
  1. Write the Mayor. Inside the “Your Letter” box, please personalize your letter with a short statement about why the Garden is important to you.
  2. Forward this letter link to your neighbors and friends and ask them to write a letter too.
  3. Share on social media both your opposition to the City’s plan to issue an RFP and your favorite moments at the Garden. Use #elizabethstreetgarden and #ESGSaveOurGarden.
