Saturday: Bike Ride to Visit Threatened Community Spaces

Community Spaces in Jeopardy Ride With 596 Acres and Public Space Party — Saturday, April 9, 1 – 6:30 p.m., beginning at the Garden.

Join 596 Acres and Public Space Party for a bike ride to visit gardens in danger of disappearing. Meet at Elizabeth Street Garden and ride through the Lower East Side into Brooklyn. Find route details and gardens visited here.

Sunday: Seed Planting

Seed Planting Workshop — Sunday, April 10, 1 – 3 p.m.
Learn how to start a variety of herb and vegetable seeds in cold frames to plant out later in spring and add to our special Chinese-Italian kitchen garden that celebrates the diverse culinary heritage of our neighborhood. Adults and kids are welcome.

Volunteer! April Is National Volunteer Month

Learn how easy it is to volunteer as little as an hour a month to help keep the Garden open. The more greeters who volunteer, the longer the Garden can remain open daily. Please reach out to your friends and neighbors and encourage them to volunteer.
