Local parent and Twisted Trunk instructor Suzanne Monto has designed Kids' Yoga especially for Elizabeth Street Garden to foster an appreciation for the Garden’s distinctive qualities. The class provides an opportunity for kids to connect to this beloved neighborhood space in a unique and meaningful way. Open to kids of all ages and their families. Please bring your own mat.

Friends of the Garden Awarded MillionTreesNYC Mini-Grant From NYC Parks

Friends of Elizabeth Street Garden has been awarded one of 10 MillionTreesNYC Mini-Grants (and the only one in Manhattan) to organize cleanup and mulching of all the street trees on the blocks surrounding the Garden — 151 diverse trees in total, so that these trees will be healthier and their tree beds will better retain storm water.

Garden volunteers aim to educate residents, building owners and local businesses about the importance of neighborhood street trees and inspire the community to help care for them.
