Highlights: LOVE LOCAL Treasure Hunt
Hundreds of neighbors and friends came out into the cold on a sunny Feb. 8 to celebrate our neighborhood during Elizabeth Street Garden's first LOVE LOCAL Treasure Hunt. They completed fun activities at participating shops and restaurants flying green balloons, joined the discussion on social media and enjoyed light bites and refreshments at Peasant.
Forty-six neighborhood shops and restaurants contributed more than $3,000 worth of "treasure" toward prize drawings at day's end. Prizes, drawn from nearly 2,900 entries, included gift certificates, dinners out, personal services, clothing, jewelry and more. Prizes were also awarded for best tweeting and use of #ESGLoveLocal.
Thank you to all participating neighborhood shops and restaurants and volunteers who helped make this event a success, especially the organizing team — Petrea Davis, Lidia Etemadi, Erum Hasnain, Emily Hellström and Susan Waldman.
