SATURDAY, OCT. 25: Second Annual Harvest Festival & Canned Food Drive To Support The Bowery Mission

Start your Halloween early and celebrate at Elizabeth Street Garden’s Second Annual Harvest Festival from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25. (Rain date: Sunday, Oct. 26.)

Enjoy a day of free, fun activities for all ages, live music, and lite bites and refreshments donated by neighborhood businesses. Canned vegetables for The Bowery Mission and costumes encouraged!

In addition to live music all day, a sampling of activities include:
  • Carvers, bring your completed jack-o-lanterns to decorate Elizabeth Street Garden for Halloween. Ribbons will be awarded at day's end for the funniest, scariest and craziest designs. Pumpkins can remain on display through Halloween.
  • Kids, at noon, join McNally Jackson Books for their Game of Bones Halloween Party. Ghoulify wicked wooden coffins, create creepy costumes and play ghostly games. From 1 p.m. on, join The Montessori in SoHo for Festival photos. From 2 p.m. on, join the Chinatown YMCA for face painting and Little Peep Prep to make masks and decorate pumpkins (while supplies last).
  • Early birds, take wellness classes — Meridian Tapping at 10 a.m. and Vinyasa Yoga at 11 a.m.
  • Sketch with Spring Studio at 12:30 p.m. to the sounds of flutist Andrew Bolotowsky.
  • Plant spring bulbs provided by New Yorkers for Parks Daffodil Project. No gardening skills required. Just the desire to get your hands in the dirt.
  • Visit our social media station and tell the world why Elizabeth Street Garden is important to you!
All activities and events are open to the public and free. For updated details, check out the Garden calendar.
