Coming Up in April
Volunteer Orientations —
Sunday, April 19, 11:30 a.m. & 2 p.m.
Saturday, April 25, 11:30 a.m. & 2 p.m.
Find out how easy it is to volunteer as little as ONE hour a month to help keep the Garden open. The more greeters who volunteer, the longer the Garden can remain open daily. Please reach out to your friends and neighbors, and encourage them to volunteer.
Seed Planting Workshop — Sunday, April 19, Noon – 2 p.m.
Learn how to sow a variety of herb and vegetable seeds in cold frames to plant out later in spring.
Composting in the City Workshop — Saturday, April 25, Noon – 2 p.m.
Are you interested in reducing your household’s garbage by composting your food scraps but don’t know how? Come to the Garden with your questions and be ready to learn via hands-on activities and demonstrations by NYC Compost Project hosted by Lower East Side Ecology Center.
