In the event that anyone has been wondering about a lack of communication from my end, I have slowly been crawling back up from a depressive episode that has lasted the past few months. I have been working toward pushing ahead with various plans, but for a while there I was questioning what the point of all this was. I'd begun to question my own motivations, and whether there was any value to the immense amount of effort, stress, and expense that I have been putting into my various activities for not only the past two decades, but long before I started this label. "To what end?" was the question I asked. The answer never came, but as I slowly dug myself out from under from the mountain of intense self-defeat, self-doubt, and self-loathing, I realised I didn't need it. Changes have been made, more are coming, and I am ready to move ahead. This work is all that I have, and all that I am. Without it, I have no reason to exist.
I've found myself functioning at a very basic and low level during the past couple of months. It's not atypical for a post-tour malaise to overtake me, but this one has lasted long enough to be especially noteworthy. It coincides with my involuntary removal from the valuable social media outlet Facebook, but that has actually been a source of tremendous relief for me, as I'd been growing more and more agitated by that cesspit as the days went by, and while it has impacted my capability to reach a wider field of contacts, I'm otherwise quite satisfied to be without it.
I have comrades who will help me carry on a presence on Facebook, aiding with the promotion of forthcoming events, and in spite of my psychic struggles, there is a lot of very encouraging activity to report, which will be shared some days from now in greater detail.
Meantime, this site will serve as the central information hub for Theologian and Annihilvs activities in the foreseeable future.
I look forward to pressing onward.
Several orders have been left to sit while I have struggled with my lack of enthusiasm and motivation in daily life, and for that I do most ardently apologise. I will be doing my best to get mailorder back on track this coming weekend. I just received the new Theologian shirts and am submitting the final payment for them tomorrow. They look great, I'm looking forward to seeing them on people.
There's lots of news to come, please stay tuned.
Thank you for your continued interest in my activities.
THEOLOGIAN and LAMENT CITYSCAPEcompleted work on SOFT TISSUE, their collaborative album, some time ago. It will be co-released by BATTLEGROUND RECORDS and ANNIHILVS, to coincide with our appearance together at SOUTHWEST TERRORFEST. Mike McClatchey has created a series of teaser videos, which we'll be disseminating for public view as the release date approaches. The album is presently being mastered by James Plotkin.

CIPHER PRODUCTIONS' double vinyl reissue of NATURE IS SATAN'S CHURCH is getting closer. There were some technical problems during the vinyl mastering process, but they are being handled. Immense thanks to Chris Groves for taking on this massive task.
On August 13, we will celebrate the 19th anniversary of the founding of ANNIHILVS, first with a live lineup featuring the dirty Jersey powernoise of CENOTYPE, a collaboration between TELLADICTORIAN and THEOLOGIAN, and NYC industrial-metallers HOGWASCHE. We'll switch gears after the bands for a late-night weirdo dance party. This event will also serve as my 45th birthday party...
The AUTUMN DIRGES HARVEST FESTIVAL, featuring performances by BRUT, COMPACTOR, GNAW THEIR TONGUES, KINTAAN, LAMENT CITYSCAPE, SPETTRO FAMILY, STATIQBLOOM, SWOLLEN ORGANS, TEN THOUSAND MILES OF ARTERIES, THEOLOGIAN, THE VOMIT ARSONIST, will take place October 28-30 at TRANS-PECOS.
Immediately following the festival, GNAW THEIR TONGUES, THEOLOGIAN, LAMENT CITYSCAPE, and KINTAAN will head on the road for four northeastern dates.
The AUTUMN DIRGES HARVEST TOUR will haunt Philadelphia on Halloween night at Franky Bradley's, followed by a mid-week Baltimore gig, then we'll head up the east coast for shows at Machines With Magnets in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, Space Gallery in Portland, Maine, and a final show in Montreal. The Halloween date will include SLAVERNIJ, the collaborative project of Daniel Suffering (WHORID) with Eric Eijspaart and Maurice De Jong of GNAW THEIR TONGUES.
More information is forthcoming.
The new full-length from SLAVERNIJ is now in production as of this writing. We anticipate potential issues with the explicit nature of the artwork, as we had with the SWOLLEN ORGANS album. If this occurs, we'll be exploring an alternative packaging option.
SLAVERNIJ was commenced as a partnership by Eric Eijspaart (MOWLAWNER) and Daniel Suffering (WHORID) following a collaborative release between those two projects in 2014. The self-titled SLAVERNIJ debut also features input from Mories. When GNAW THEIR TONGUES at long last began performing, ANNIHILVS jumped at the chance to bring Mories back to New York, where GTT headlined APEX FEST VI and, as both ADERLATING and SLAVERNIJ, collaborated live with Daniel Suffering on select dates of the APEX FEST VI tour. In the wake of these performances, SLAVERNIJ has expanded to include all three members for future material.
A sexual terrorism like no other. Blasphemy and sodomy...bloodlust and greed...
From the depraved minds behind heavy electronics acts WHORID, ADERLATING, MOWLAWNER, and GNAW THEIR TONGUES, spills the undulating, gurgling mass of grotesque sonic abuse known as SLAVERNIJ.
Taking their name from the Dutch word for Bondage, “a state in which a human is property of another, or is treated as such,” SLAVERNIJ creates oppressive, cavernous atmoSpheres, formulating dungeons of the mind, from which there will be no escape. SLAVERNIJ toys with depravity as its prime theme, wallowing in tension and terror. With tyrannical, undulating synthetic bass tones and grinding frequencies which rip at the listeners’ bare skin, this filth will leave you mesmerized by its nauseating beauty.
ANNIHILVS proudly presents the label debut of NYC filth electronics act SWOLLEN ORGANS, solo endeavour of Jimmy Aly (THE COMMUNION). FEELINGS ABOUT GENDER GUILT OVER TIME takes a long, hard, sweaty look at the tenuous relationship between gender roles. Fraught with uncomfortable quiet moments and overbearing aggression, this release is a disturbing examination of sexuality, through the lens of misanthropy.
Finally emerging after nearly six years of delays (and now, a change of title), ANNIHILVS presents the final EP from Providence duo Pippi Zornoza (WOLD, BONEDUST, RECTRIX) and Annapurna Himal von Wagner, in their incredible (and sadly, now long-defunct) post-doom incarnation VVLTVRE.
Terrifyingly heavy, bleak, and beyond abyssal, this release will stand as a fitting eulogy for one of the most incredible bands with whom this label has had the pleasure of working.
ANNIHILVS presents the newest album from HUSERE GRAV, a barren, frigid array of meditative, atmospheric drones. Reminiscent of early releases by JARL, ENTROPY AND ILLUSION transports the listener to an ever-expanding internal void, beyond the wall of sleep.
