A Look Back at 2015

& What We Hope to Accomplish in the New Year!

"No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted" - Aesop

Together in 2015, we’ve officially helped a total of 19 foster girls—giving them hope for a better, more accomplished future filled with endless opportunities and enrichment.

Three girls living in a local foster group home each received $1000 so that they could go to sleep-away summer camp in Pennsylvania.

We gave a $1200 scholarship to one of last year’s recipients, Kenisha, to attend an FSU study abroad program in Prague for the summer.

Four young ladies starting as Freshmen for the upcoming 2015-1016 school year each received $3,000 scholarships. Cassie is attending Palm Beach State College, Deja C. and Deja F. are attending Broward College and Victoria U. started classes at UNF in Jacksonville, FL.

2015 Fundraising Events Recap

Bowl-a-Thon on February 8, 2015 (raised $22,500)

1st NYC fundraiser at HUERTAS RESTAURANT on May 31st was a great success.  Raised awareness about youth aging out of foster care to a new group of people.  An excellent time was had by all.

Giving Tuesday—a global day for giving back on December 1, 2015—was a huge success with enough money raised to help more girls in 2016!
2016: 3rd Annual Bowl-a-Thon

February 21, 2016, Strikes @ Boca

Back by popular demand, our annual event is ‘bowling in’ for its third year at Strikes in Boca.

This event is instrumental in raising money for Emy’s Promise’s future recipients. With every dollar contributed, you help us nurture a foster youth on the path to a brighter future.

Bring your friends and family along for an afternoon of bowling at Strikes @ Boca from 12-3pm. There will also be a silent auction packed with fabulous prizes for your bidding pleasure. And pizza... need I say more?

Registration will open soon.

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO

You are awesome. Because of you, we have been able to make a big difference in the lives of youth in foster care. And in 2016, we will continue to help young women overcome financial barriers that separate them from their potential.

Thank you!

This year, we had a successful cooking class with 5 young women who are living in foster care or have just aged out and are starting life on their own.
Our daughter, Shoshanna, presenting Ingredients for Change and sporting our new Emy's Promise t-shirt.
Happy Graduation!

Our first 2 recipients, Kenisha (above) and Kayla (below) both graduated cum laude...Kayla from FAU and Kenisha from FSU. Awesome job ladies!
