Hey Campers 🚐 The warm summer sun rays are shining, pools are opening, and freedom calls us to go back to “real life”. So at Camperguru, we hand-picked the most beautiful spots between the Czech Republic and Croatia. We researched hidden gems to help you enjoy an awesome summer. We have added 84 unique locations and counting. Feel free to share them with your friends 💌
Wine Tasting in South Moravia
Park ‘n’ wine by Mádl 🍷
Velke Bilovice — one of the wine capitals of South Moravia. Here, David Mádl, a winemaker and camper traveller, opened a stellplatz with grass pitches next to his wine shop. In the blink of an eye it got packed because it makes for a solid basecamp to travel around the region. At the winery, you can taste great vino while your kids play. It’s pure happiness. Book in advance in the high season.
Annovino Lednice 🚣♂️
Annovino is a different story. This camper spot is just being built. It will soon be a must-see for wine lovers. You’ll find large, well-spaced pitches overlooking a green riverbank that leads to a beautiful castle — a modern camping fairy tale found by our ambassador Radim. This spot has tremendous potential, so make a note to come over to Lednice. This historic site with the beautiful castle and famous Minaret attracts visitors year-round.
Nature in Prague 🏰
Camperspot Buliro is a recent addition to our Collection. This city spot will blow your mind. It’s located in the midst of lush greenery, securely hidden behind a gate. The Stellplatz overlooks gorgeous Prague. Here you can relax while you look at private jets landing. However, this spot is still close to the main points of interest and the medieval city centre.
Summer is pretty much here and this is Camperguru’s first taste of one of the top travel destinations in mainland Europe — beautiful Croatia.
Camping Stobreč Split 🏖
This 4 star campsite with a little beach is a few minutes from beautiful Split. The town’s historical center and the Diocletian’s Palace are my personal favorites in Croatia. If you don’t feel like exploring the local historical heritage, enjoy the perfect beach on the Adriatic Sea and visit the tasty restaurants of Stobreč, which are within walking distance.
River Camping Bled 👌
On a way to Croatia, in beautiful Slovenia is a camping jewel. If you make it here, you’ll be surrounded by green trees and refreshing hills. A paradise just a stone’s throw from the picturesque Lake Bled. Well, choose your spot, pitch your tent or park your campervan, and simply relax.
Bonus → Winery in Belgium
As we expand our reach around Europe, this winery spot (ok, we love wine, we admit it) is a fantastic relaxation booster for when you feel like traveling north from mainland Europe. Belgium offers high standards of service. We can’t wait to find more spots for you in the region.
Wine Estate Hels Hoven 🦙
You wouldn’t expect to find a winemaker in Belgium. But Camperguru ambassadors Luc & Carin came across a remarkable one. It’s a quirky wine estate combining different elements into one place. Wine estate, restaurant, sleeping pots, ice cream bar, and camping pitches. And you know what’s more? It’s free! It’s definitely a must-visit if you drive by.
The EU Re-opens 🇪🇺
Travelling around Europe might soon be easy. If you want to get ready for your next camping trip, there’s a website where you can learn about the current measures in place, including quarantine and testing requirements. It’s for travellers from all European countries and it’s called Re-Open EU.
Remote Work Webinar 🔔 on Friday 25th June
I love sharing some of the techniques I’m using on my travels to work effectively while travelling on a van with my family. My friend Robert Vlach, author of the book Freelance Way, which is currently transforming the world, invited me and two Freelance Friends to chat about it all. Get more details and find out how to join the webinar for free → Freelancing.eu
Campers Are Sold a Year in Advance 🚀
From my observations and the feedback we receive from users and spot owners, the community of campers has grown massively over the last year. Many more campervans are getting on the road, and not only in Europe. So be ready for a busy summer. Book your spots in advance.
Building Camper Spots in Czechia 🇨🇿
The formal specification of a camper spot / stellplatz has been moved to the senate in the Czechia, thanks to the Czech Camping Organization. This finally allows businesses to open their camping spots formally. This can only mean that there will soon be more places to stay, where to sleep safely in the country.
For example, Filip Molcan spotted one brand new spot in Bohemian Switzerland.
Camperguru in the Media 🏆
Media outlets such as the CNN, Prima News, Patriot, HN, Freelancing.eu, and Czechcrunch featured Camperguru recently. We are excited to see our travel community grow. Don’t forget to follow us on Instagram and Facebook — that’s where the inspiration happens.

Controversy: Sharing Spots With Friends 😇
Sharing great locations with friends can stir controversy sometimes, especially during Covid times. Still, campers won’t disappear from the Earth anytime soon, so, at Camperguru, we want to do something about it. We respect freedom and look for ways to make it sustainable. That’s why Camperguru only collects legal camping spots where you won’t be kicked out in the middle of the night.
We Strive for a Long-term Happy Face
I don’t know about you, but I like reliable things. Be it a camping table, some outdoor chairs, or the campervan itself. Reliability increases overall happiness. The same applies to the Camperguru spot collection. We work hard to make sure that the owner of a spot is a fine person and willing to help you, to allow you to have a good (or even great) experience.
That’s why Camperguru ambassadors are our experienced senior campers, who make sure the camping location delivers verified levels of comfort. No unexpected surprises, such as a muddy grass field or a semi-legal property. We cannot risk our name in promoting below-average locations. Because that would only take the smile off your face. Stakes are high.
