from God's Gurls here:

Her dedication to the ministry is undeniable and unwavering. She is a mother of three, grandmother of eight, great-grandmother of two, and she is completely devoted to them all. Caregiving is in her blood, so with a smiling face and comforting demeanor, she is always ready to greet the Family Life babies with a gentle rock or a loving squeeze. When she is not in the Family Life kitchen, she enjoys watching old game shows, playing games on her phone, and, most importantly, reading the word of God. Her hobbies of sewing and making jewelry means she can mend your clothes and adorn your neck as well. She’s our “Mama” who is always ready to lend a hand and be a blessing to the members of Family Life. We are excited to show our love to the April member of the month, Linda Ann “Mama Crump”!

"Our Hearts Are Heavy"

"I did the work and now I want the job"

 Stacey Abrams kicks second bid for Georgia

governor into high gear.

In the years since the 2018 gubernatorial election, Abrams never stopped running for the job. As she tells it, she's spent the time doing the work for the people of Georgia. Last year, the Fair Fight Political Action Committee, under Abrams' leadership, announced they donated more than $1 million dollars to the organization RIP Medical Debt to eliminate medical bills owed by thousands across the South. She also touted her voter engagement efforts and her advocacy to ensure marginalized communities were counted in the 2020 Census.

"I did the work and now I want the job," she told a crowd in Atlanta.

Growth is a sign of progress and maturity. God expects us to grow. We should not be stagnant in any area of our lives. Take every opportunity to learn something new and improve your chances for career advancement. It is easy to get comfortable in a career with no desire for advancement. The scripture reminds us not to get comfortable.  Romans 12:2 “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."

Following some good career advice and tips will always be helpful for career growth.

The Family Life Academy of Excellence is our newly launched private Christian school in Fayetteville, GA. We have a vision committed to developing every student with the highest accomplishments academically, artistically, and spiritually while producing the next generation of world leaders of high integrity. Our students rocked their first semester, and we are excited to begin a thriving second semester for 2022!

2022 WOW Summer Camp

We are excited to announce that we will be hosting our 2022 WOW Summer Camp this year. LIFE Inc. has provided an enriching and life changing summer experience for children between the ages 5-13 for the past 20 years.  Each summer we provide a safe and wholesome environment for youth, who would otherwise be at home with little to no supervision, while instilling lifelong principles that enable the children to operate in integrity throughout their childhood and even into adulthood. We do so through activities including math, science, literacy tutorials, singing, dancing, art and crafts, character building, spiritual enrichment, guest speakers, and field trips.  We have countless examples of participants whose entire family’s lives have been changed as a result of attending the W.O.W Summer Camp.  We pride ourselves on having a lasting effect on the children, their families, and the community as a whole and our desire is to continue to provide this life changing experience to as many children as possible.

The Only Way PT. 2

Now add to these challenges the sweet words in our day about “tolerance” — words that regularly convince Christians to consent to compromise while person after person passes by on the road to ruin. While Jesus didn’t blush to tell people that He alone was the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6), we often fail to pass along the life-saving message we have been given.
If you are considering which path to take and desire the King’s perspective, here you have it: Jesus alone is the way, the truth, the life; He alone is the mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5); He alone brings reconciliation to sinners (Colossians 1:20); He alone reveals God perfectly (Hebrews 1:3); He alone is the resurrection and the life (John 11:25); there is salvation in no one else (Acts 4:12). Two types of paths exist: the way of Christ, and the ways of condemnation (Matthew 7:13). Every path not leading to repentance and faith in Jesus for the forgiveness of sins is a path leading to never-ending death.

 Growth In Commitment

Spring has officially sprung in this seemingly never-ending pandemic season. This is the ideal season for hope, and a time of growth in the flora and fauna of the earth. For the believer, single or otherwise, it is also the ideal time to tend to our relationship with Christ, doing the necessary things to ensure the growth that must take place within it. The timely topic of commitment on a greater level was the continued subject of one of this month's SAS sessions held on Mondays via Zoom.

      The evening began with an engaging Would You Rather quiz. Deas.Trunaé Green began the evening by explaining that it takes just as much commitment to sin as it does to make a commitment to Christ.  She delivered a roadmap to growing in commitment with these stops along the way: honesty, being intentional, being extreme, trustworthy, and owning our commitment. Dea-Elect Thomas Green ended the evening by pointing out that we must ensure that our commitment is to God first and above all else. With that. the evening concluded.

Recognizing Minority Health and Black Maternal

Health in April

This year marks the fifth year anniversary of the Black Maternal Health Week (BMHW) campaign. Founded and led by the Black Mamas Matter Alliance, BMHW is a week of awareness, activism, and community building intended to:
  • Deepen the national conversation about Black maternal health in the US;
  • Amplify community-driven policy, research, and care solutions;
  • Center the voices of Black Mamas, women, families, and stakeholders;
  • Provide a national platform for Black-led entities and efforts on maternal health, birth and reproductive justice; and
  • Enhance community organizing on Black maternal health.
The month of April is recognized in the United States as National Minority Health Month – a month-long initiative to advance health equity across the country on behalf of all racial and ethnic minorities.  For more info on how you can impact Black maternal health and improve minority health disparities visit: and

Reading Spot

As we still bask in the new year, this is a great time to designate your "reading spot"! Now I know you are probably wondering, 'what is a reading spot'? Simply put, it's a place you have created to get cozy behind a book. It is the spot you have created just for reading. This month I am sharing 4 Tips on creating the perfect reading spot!

1. Your reading spot should be in a quiet place. This may be a place in your home, such as a corner in a room, the closet, or even the garage. It can also be a place outdoors. Find what works for you!

2. Once you have chosen the space, make it cozy. You want your area to feel warm and inviting. Adding a few throw pillows, a throw blanket, and a nice rug can help create that comfortable space. You can even add a comfortable chair or bean bag. Choose what works best for you.

3. Next, put your favorite books and current reads in that space. It will help remind you that it is your reading spot, and you'll always know where to find your recent books.

4. Lastly, grab your favorite drink, head to your reading spot, and start reading!

Do you have a reading spot? And if not, did you find these tips helpful? Let me know! Please email me at As always, Happy Reading!

February’s blessed biscuits and beautiful bits of knowledge from our Bishops was a tough act to follow; nevertheless, the Couples Are Partners family ventured out to Pasta Bella in Austell. This location is a group favorite and they did not disappoint. They accommodated our large group of 15 couples on a busy Saturday night.

Before our food arrived, our facilitators, Bishops Alfred T. & Rosemary Lands, served up a tasty nugget that we could chew on for more than a few minutes. These daily commitments that make for a good marriage included confession, forgiveness, growth, trust, love, appreciation, and grace.

Our newlywed couple (Burke 3) and our four visiting couples stated how they enjoyed themselves and look forward to visiting our Date Night sessions in the future. We hope you will join us as we dive into the Marietta Fish Market at 6pm on April 2nd!

The Birthday Blessing Ministry (BBM) of Family Life MBC serves as a way to engage each church member through small groups centered around their birth month.

There are 4 BBMs:
Genesis (January, February, March)
Sold Out Servants (April, May, June)
Jesus Anointed Soldiers (July, August, September)
Omega Warriors (October, November, December)

All of our Birthday Blessing Ministry groups continue to do a bang up job helping all members become fully engaged in ministry life.

We appreciate you taking a few minutes to complete the ACR using the link below:

The single command that Jesus gave his followers before igniting a movement was “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised…” He was telling them to wait for and then move with the Spirit. In 2022, we’ll discover a growing awareness of the Spirit’s work and leadership while also realizing that we will always be more effective if we move with the Holy Spirit.

The church must be aware of the strategies of the true enemy. It is crucial for the church to understand what God has revealed about the enemy (1 Peter 4:1-18; Jude 17-18). Paul was not necessarily referring to any particular revelation but to the repeated teaching of the Lord (Mark 13:22), the other apostles (2 Peter 3:1-18), and himself (Acts 20:29; 2 Thes. 2:1-12). Paul gives instructions concerning false teachers and teachings which can sap the vitality of Christ's church. The source is demonic, the teachers are morally corrupt, and the teachings deprive us of things God has given in order to bless us. The situation is degenerating. Many people have abandoned the faith (1 Tim. 1:19) seeing it as too restrictive, to follow after the false teaching of deceiving spirits and demons. Sin is seldom due to innocent mistakes. It is more often due to the conscious strategies of the enemy (Eph. 6:12). The teachings (didaskaliais) of demons are false doctrines taught by pulpit pimps and celebrity wolves dressed in sheep’s clothing, whose views are instigated by demons.

The enemy does not directly confront any of us the first time with error. Instead, he works through hypocritical liars. They speak words that sound good to us, but in the end, they are poison. This is Satan's standard operating procedure (2 Cor. 11:13-15). He selects likely representatives and renders their consciences beyond feeling (Eph. 4:19), seared as with a hot iron ($$$). In this condition, they are ready to do Satan's bidding.

1 Timothy 4:1-2 Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons. These people are hypocrites and liars, and their consciences are dead.
