EXPO Milano 2015 is the Universal Exhibition taking place in Milan, Italy, from 1 May to 31 October 2015. The event is focussing on the problems of nutrition and the resources of our planet. The idea is to open up a dialogue between international players, and to exchange views on these major challenges which impact everyone.
140 participating countries are showing the best of their technology that offers a concrete answer to a vital need: being able to guarantee healthy, safe and sufficient food for everyone, while respecting the Planet and its equilibrium. More info.
EXPO Milano 2015 is a unique opportunity to highlight the added value of the European Union regarding safe and sustainable food production. The EXPO forms a forum to raise awareness on the importance of farming and on the challenge of food security.
The Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development has made EXPO Milano 2015 a key topic and is organising a range of seminars that give stakeholders the opportunity to participate in the debates on how we will feed the planet in the future.
