Horizon 2020 Work Programme is published

The European Commission has published the draft work programme for Horizon 2020. The first Horizon 2020 calls will include several opportunities to support demand-driven innovation actions in agriculture, to support the supply chain and to support rural areas through multi-national projects under the call for Sustainable Food Security (SFS) and the Call for an Innovative, Sustainable and Inclusive Bioeconomy (ISIB),  in particular through "thematic networks" and "multi-actor" projects.  The work programme contains more information about thematic networks (topic ISIB-2, closing 26/6/2014) and  multi-actor projects (topics SFS-1A; SFS-1C; SFS-2A; SFS-2B; SFS-3A; SFS-4; SFS-5; SFS-7A;  SFS-13; SFS-19; ISIB-4B, WASTE-2 and WASTE-7, closing 12/3/2014). Looking for Partners for H2020 Consortia?

The EIP-AGRI Service Point has opened a LinkedIn group where people and organisations interested in multi-actor projects or thematic network topics from Horizon 2020 calls can search and find project partners. Consortia should include 3 Member States but in practice they are often larger. Likewise, where the scope of the topic includes the sentence "Proposals should fall under the concept of 'multi-actor approach" there is a requirement for the consortium to involve various actors and end-users such as farmers/farmers' groups, advisors, enterprises etc. throughout the project: in defining the questions, planning, implementing research work, experiments and possible demonstrations and dissemination. Visit the LinkedIn Group.

The Commission is looking for Horizon 2020 evaluators

The European Commission is inviting people inside and outside the scientific community to join the list of evaluators for projects under Horizon 2020. The Commission is looking to expand its database with evaluators having experience in multi-actor projects where scientific and practical knowledge are combined. More information about requirements and how to join here.
