Apply to attend the EIP-AGRI worskhop on Data Sharing

The digitisation of agriculture requires the combination and sharing of data. However, data-holders (farmers, enterprises etc) are reluctant to share data as they are not confident they will receive a return. We are looking for participants for the workshop on ‘Data sharing - ensuring a fair sharing of digitisation benefits in agriculture'. It will take place in Bratislava, Slovakia on 4-5 April 2017. EIP-AGRI workshop ‘New Value Chains from Multifunctional Forests’

Over 80 participants attended this workshop in Vienna on 10-11 November to share practical experiences on new value chains from multifunctional forests. Examples included leisure services, food, non-food and agroforestry products. “I learned a lot. I hope I’ll be able to build an Operational Group on agroforestry”, concluded Cariole Anzani- Environmental Office of Corsica.

Promoting creativity and learning through AKIS systems and interactive innovation

Participants at this EIP-AGRI seminar looked at how farmers create knowledge, where they get their information from, and if their AKIS (Agricultural and Knowledge Information Systems) currently provide sufficient opportunities for them to exchange knowledge and develop new ideas. AGRIFORVALOR Thematic Network

AGRIFORVALOR is a thematic network funded under the EU’s Horizon 2020 programme. Its focus is turning waste, by-products and residues from agriculture and forestry into a valuable product or resource for industry through ‘Biomass Innovation Design Hubs’. These multi-actor hubs will organise training, coaching and e-learning activities. Read more.

New ways of thinking about farmland and forest management

Rural land provides a range of key functions and services on which society depends. However environmental and social benefits continue to be undervalued in land management decisions. Using the concepts of public goods and ecosystem services, the PEGASUS project is investigating new ways of thinking about the way farmland and forests are managed. Find out more.

New platform for farmers to find organic solutions

The complexity of organic farming means that farmers have to have a very high level of knowledge and skills, but knowledge exchange remains a challenge. The thematic network OK-Net Arable has launched its platform to promote exchange of knowledge among farmers, farm advisers and scientists. Available in English, Bulgarian, Danish, Dutch, Estonian, French, German, Hungarian, Italian and Latvian.
