Recommended read:

Helen Mort's second full poetry collection, No Map Could Show Them (Chatto, 2016) is my recommended this month. I heard Helen read at Verve Poetry Festival in Birmingham recently. She's a brilliant poet, do see her live if you get the chance. My favourite poems from this collection include 'Black Rocks', a sequence about a climber, Alison Hargreaves, and a great sonnet 'Rachel in Attercliffe'. The collection is also recommended by the Poetry Book Society, so don't just take my word for it. https://www.penguin.co.uk/books/1109971/no-map-could-show-them/

Lots going on in March
In March, I'll be reading at Bath Spa University on 9 March and at the Poets' Cafe in Reading on Fri 10 March (plus open mic) http://www.readingarts.com/south-street/whats-on/poets-caf%C3%A9-katrina-naomi-hosted-gill-learner. I'm doing a short set at Penzance's fab International Women's Day Cabaret at the Acorn on Sat 11 March, loads of great performers at this event https://thelittleboxoffice.com/theacorn/event/view/57841. I'm also joining a great line up, including Jo Shapcott and Penelope Shuttle, at Teignmouth Poetry Festival 17-19 March. I'm reading on Fri evening 17 March and running a workshop on Sat 18 March http://www.poetryteignmouth.com/festival-2017.html

And coming up...
I'm delighted to be reading and running a workshop at this year's Kendal Poetry Festival in the Lake District, put the weekend of 16-18 June in your diary, info on tickets and line up soon. I'll also be reading at Poetry Wivenhoe in Essex on Thurs 27 April and for Telltale at the Lewes Arms, Sussex (a great pub) on Fri 28 April. And there's the 'Serious Play' poetry and collaboration course with me and Jen Hadfield at Arvon in May. For full listings, http://www.katrinanaomi.co.uk/festivalseventsreadings

Want some honest feedback on your poetry?
I'm one of several poets who offer Poetry Surgeries for the Poetry Society. There's a list here http://poetrysociety.org.uk/poetry-society-information/services/poetry-surgery/. My next Poetry Surgeries via skype and face-to-face are on Sun 23 April http://www.katrinanaomi.co.uk/poetry-surgeries-23-april. They cost £45/55 for an hour's feedback.
