Search for COVID-19 vaccine production and support capacities

In coordination with the task force on vaccines of the European Commission, the European Clusters Alliance (ECA) and the Council of European BioRegions (CEBR) are working to locate and map all the possible resources available in Europe for the production of vaccines for COVID-19.
This includes the mapping the possible manufacturing facilities themselves, but also all related aspects of vaccine production, including raw materials, vial, syringes, storage and distribution etc.
Furthermore, we want to compile any difficulties and bottlenecks you could identify about the production of vaccines, e.g. regulations, certification etc.

If you are interested in supporting this initative, please fill in the questionnaire on production capacities and contact relevant stakeholders you know.

Last day: Contribute with your knowledge to the new EU Industrial Strategy

The new Industrial Forum, a high-level expert group with representatives of Member States and stakeholders from industry, academia, civil society, trade unions and other organisations, will provide the European Commission with advice on the implementation of industrial policies and support the Commission in its systematic analysis of the different industrial ecosystems. The European Clusters Alliance is member of this Forum.
One of the important tasks is the update of the EU Industrial Strategy, published in March 2020. The Industrial Strategy proposes a set of actions to address the fundamental enabling conditions for the twin industrial transformations, including achieving a deeper and more digital single market, improving our competitiveness in the global market, supporting industries towards climate neutrality, building a more circular economy, promoting industrial innovation, skilling and reskilling, and investing and financing the transition.
For this, the Forum has tasked the European Clusters Alliance with giving recommendations. The European Clusters Alliance wants to include the cluster community in its answer to the Industrial Forum.
Please take part in this important survey and answer the questions posed by the Industrial Forum. Contribute with your knowledge to this critical task!

The European Alliance Against Coronavirus

We are an open exchange group which consists of clusters, associations, institutions, universities, companies, social economy stakeholders and other entities, and counts with close collaborative links to the European Commission. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis, we have been meeting on a regular basis to find solutions to the challenges brought to us by the crisis. We have identified disrupted value and supply chains in Europe´s industry and made suggestions for its economic recovery.
