View this email in your browser

Hi everybody,

Big thanks to all those of you who braced the sustained showers in Bristol last weekend to come to our 14th edition of VegfestUK in the city centre of Bristol!

The event was exhilarating with a house party followed by a reggae sunsplash, on top of vegan food and education during the day.

With VegfestUK moving on to London and Glasgow towards the end of the year, plus the Vegfest Express developing into a full-blown online vegan magazine available to use for free, VegfestUK have a lot to tell you about in this May edition of our bulletin!

VegfestUK Bristol 2016 attracted 13,000 people despite rainfall

Despite some sustained showers over the weekend May 21st 22nd, around 13,000 people visited the 14th edition of the VegfestUK Bristol vegan festival at the Amphitheatre, to enjoy good food, good music and good company.

World's first guitar-playing pig live at VegfestUK Bristol in support of maiden vegan billboard campaign in Bristol

Big thanks to everyone who came to watch Pig Freud play live at VegfestUK Bristol! Understandably, Pig Freud was nervous about playing in front of a big audience and he really appreciates everyone's support.

Video of Pig Freud's performance will be available soon...

Huge thanks to everyone who donated to the Pig Freud fundraiser at VegfestUK Bristol - £835 was donated, bringing the total to just short of £2000 as the Pig covers Bristol in vegan bus adverts and billboards.

Please do consider making a small donation to the fund if you would - we are still a few hundred pounds short of our target...thanks!! (crowdfunder ends on May 31st midnight)

Pig Freud's vegan billboard campaign attracting mainstream coverage

Pig Freud's exploits also drew the attention of the likes of Metro and VegNews magazine. Big thanks to everyone who have supported this first-ever campaign in Bristol!

Close Down all Slaughterhouse Demo - June 11th 2016

The time has come! It's time to claim loud and clear the abolition of slavery of all the animals, the abolition of the practices which cause them the biggest wrongs: their breeding, their fishing and their slaughter.

Every year in the world, 60 billion land animals and more than 1000 billion aquatic animals are killed without necessity, which means that 164 million land animals and more than 2,74 billion aquatic animals are killed every day.

The London event will be similar to last year's, with a gathering in Leicester Square with banners and placards, leafleting and a few speeches.
