WELCOME TO THE 2016-2017 SCHOOL YEAR!!!!

2016-17 Year begins with “All IN”
The 2016-17 school year marks the 20th year anniversary for Neuqua Valley! It seems like yesterday that we opened the doors to our first Wildcats in 1997 and now we are celebrating our 20thyear. Over the years, we have built great traditions and have had many successes and awards in academics, music, theatre, athletics, etc... the list goes on.

In celebrating what we have accomplished, we also are reminded to look to the future and ask how we can get better.  How can we provide more opportunities for our students? How we can help grow our students to be better prepared for the next steps? What do we want our school and community to stand for and be viewed by others?

In building on the many strengths of Neuqua Valley High School, we share with you our next steps in developing a stronger community within and outside the walls of the building. Our focus for the 2016-17 school year is “All IN”.

“All IN” is simply, all in.  ALL (students, teachers, administration and parents alike) are responsible for the present and future of Neuqua Valley High School. This year we will challenge our students to support other student efforts, beyond their participation in particular activity or sport, and recognize and encourage their peers in contributing to the overall positive climate of our school. We know that our students are busy, but in this challenge, we will all learn that stretching ourselves for others can be very rewarding.

As parents of our students, we challenge you to do the same. Your lives are very busy as well, but we do need your support and ask you to stretch your time in giving back. High school may seem like a time not to be as active in your child's school and to assume that things are being taken care of.   But quite the contrary! We need your help!

Please do not assume we will have concessions at our games, that you will continue to walk up to the Wildcat store/trailer and be able to purchase spirit wear or think that if you pay the participation fee, your athlete will have the necessary equipment for their teams. We need all of our parents to fill many time slots. No matter how much time you have or what sport your child is in, your help is appreciated.

Together, “ALL IN”, we can achieve so much more for our students and community! I ask you to commit to the challenge of “All IN” and become active in supporting the efforts of our athletes in volunteering. Our Booster organization is made up of busy parents that have committed to make a difference for our Athletic program. All funds raised through concessions, Wildcat wear store or other fundraising efforts go back to all of our sports teams through “Wish Lists” presented by the coaches.

Help us build more opportunities for our students, grow our students and contribute to the positive traditions to which this school has been accustomed. Be a member of Boosters, sign up to work in concessions, Wildcat wear store, help with fundraising efforts, attend a Booster meeting, take a leadership role in Boosters, the list goes on….

Together, “All IN”, we can achieve so much more for the Wildcats!
