Last Month's Webinar
Dad's/Parnter's View in the NICU: Tips & Support for Fatherhood in the NICU
|
|
Last month's webinar focused on NICU Dad and Partner support! We were so grateful to have the opportunity to welcome Alex Zavala to share his story!
Meet Alex...
Alex is a small business owner, and father to two preemie girls in the Austin, TX area. Alex saw a gap in the support and information that NICU dads receive. He started The NICU Dad as a resource to help fill this gap. Alex has become an advocate for NICU dads and NICU dad support. He is a peer mentor for NICU dads and hosts some NICU dad groups in some local NICUs. Alex also partnered with Hand to Hold and hosts NICU Dad discussions, a podcast for NICU dads. He has helped bring awareness to what NICU dads experience and the continued support they need. His family is an Ambassador Family for several organizations that offer NICU family support like Ronald McDonald House Charities, Hand to Hold, and March of Dimes.

Thank you to those who submitted their January homework forms and PDSA's! If you are a team lead and wish to submit your February homework form and PDSA cycle, please contact Mariana Serrano at mdms@bu.edu to resend the REDCap link to the homework form.
Several people had questions about the REDCap status question, which can be left blank for now as this pertains to gaining access to data entry in REDCap once the IRB and DUA processes are complete. We hope to provide you all with an update on the DUA next month. If you have any other questions about submitting the monthly homework form and PDSA cycle, please reach out to Meg and Mariana and we’d be happy to assist you.
The next homework and PDSA Cycles are due by Monday, March 1st, 2021. The homework form only takes a couple of minutes to fill out, and we truly appreciate all your efforts in helping us to understand your progress.

Wishing you all wellness this month!
