Project Elevate 2016-2017 Kick Off

This week we kicked off our Project Elevate 2016-2017 with an all day workshop at the Edson Keith Mansion. The project marks its second year of residencies at the following elementary schools: AtwaterBrentwoodEmma E. Booker and Tuttle.

Project Elevate is made possible by the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Innovation PDAE program (Professional Development for Arts Educators). Special emphasis is being placed on increasing students’ skills in reading, writing, math and science through drama, dance and visual arts led by Jessica Oatman, Any Given Child Arts Integration Specialist.

On October 25, we will meet again for an all day workshop on drama strategies for Arts Integration with Kennedy Center teaching artist Karen Erickson

BMO Harris Bank Grant

Any Given Child Sarasota has been awarded a $5,000 grant from BMO Harris Bank for the 2016-2017 school year. The grant will allow us to expand our work by partnering with more teachers, as well as build capacity by offering additional professional learning opportunities for teachers serving students with disabilities. We are incredibly grateful for their continued support in truly making the arts more accessible for all  students of Sarasota County Schools.
