Any Given Child Receives $5,000 Grant
BMO Private Bank recently awarded Any Given Child Sarasota a $5,000 grant to aid our efforts to expand arts education in Sarasota County Schools with the help of The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
"We would like to thank BMO Private Bank for its financial support of this endeavor,” said Brian Hersh, Program Director for Any Given Child Sarasota. “This grant will help our vision and ensure all students have equal access to arts as part of a complete education.”
“As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting local organizations and the arts, we are proud to provide Any Given Child with this grant,” said Gary Heard, Managing Director, Sarasota, BMO Private Bank. “We’re thrilled to support this cause and look forward to working together to enrich and educate the children of Sarasota.”
Thank you, BMO Private Bank!
A Superhuman Experience at The Ringling
For the second year in a row, The Ringling once again opened its doors this fall to Sarasota County elementary school students as part of its Superhuman in Sarasota educational program. This specially-designed arts experience included guided tours of the art and circus museums for hundreds of area 4th graders, many of whom had never visited a museum before.
As part of Superhuman in Sarasota, educational staff from The Ringling created a curriculum for teachers to use with the students prior to and following their visit. That curriculum, along with the tours themselves, focused on the exploration of visual art and Florida history.
