The Florida District NYI President

Hello Florida NYI!

I am excited to begin a new chapter as the District President! I believe that God has amazing things in store for the students in Florida and I can’t wait to be a part of it!
If we’ve not had the chance to meet, here’s a little about me. I grew up in Grove City, OH and met my wife, Bethany, while in high school. We attended Indiana Wesleyan University for college, and I began my first job as a Youth Pastor in 2010 at a church plant in Central Indiana. Since then, Bethany and I have followed God’s call and rode the wave of his blessing. He brought us to the Florida District in 2014 where I served as Youth Pastor at the St. Johns Faith Community Church outside of Jacksonville, FL. In 2017 we welcomed our son, Graham Joseph, into the world just before Christmas. And on the first week of 2018 we began a new ministry at Cross Bridge Church in Rockledge, FL. I’ve served on the NYI Council for the past 5 years as a Mission Area Coordinator and District Secretary.

In my free time I enjoy movies, music, board games, and playing disc golf. I’ve got a favorite team in just about every sport…well, not badminton. Bethany and I absolutely love being parents to Graham.

As our quizzers prepare to dive into the book of Hebrews, let us take a word from the writer and make it our goal.

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.” Hebrews 12:1-2a

God has big plans for the Florida District and I’m excited to help lead our district as we chase after Him. We, as a council, are here to resource you and be an advocate for your local ministry as well as provide experiences for you to encounter God in a new and fresh way.

I look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events as God allows! Don’t forget, Extreme Days is coming fast!
