INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH-CREATION CROSS-RESIDENCIES

2022–2023

To support co-operation and international excellence in the digital arts, perte de signal and iii are launching a new cross-residency program. Over the next two years, 2 artists from the Montreal arts centre will stay in The Hague and 2 artists from the Dutch platform iii will be in residence at rustines_lab in Montreal. This partnership aims to encourage independent creation, cultural diversity, and the transmission of knowledge and skills in the digital arts between the Netherlands and Quebec.

From Montreal to The Hague, artists are actively working in the digital field to develop, use, and share their own tools and devices for creating and performing work, while reflecting on their contribution to the art practice and aesthetics at the international level. This program therefore seeks to support the artistic process by providing artists with the necessary resources they need to create an art project. These cross-residencies will also offer the Quebec artists the opportunity to present an installation and/or performative work in The Hague and the Dutch artists to do so in Montreal.

iii is an artist-run community platform that supports new interdisciplinary practices linking performance, technology, and the human senses.
