July 12th in Golden Gate, North Oakland, and Emeryville
Oaklavia is back in 2014, and we’re doubling down to bring Oaklavia to Oakland twice. Our first event of the year is less than a month away.
It is a partnership with the Golden Gate Neighborhood and City of Emeryville to celebrate San Pablo Avenue and Doyle Street
Bring your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, school mates to play Saturday July 12, from 11am to 3pm. 15,000 or more people will fill our streets with sheer people-powered, car-free bliss. Oakland Urban Paths will also hold their Second Saturdays walk at Love Our Neighborhood Day.
And every bit of support we get from our community is essential in making 2014 a memorable year
It’s almost too soon to tout the After Party, but what the heck. DestinyArts is stepping up to put keep the party popping after 3pm with the help of local breweries and food crafters at their awesome studios.
And a big thank you to the generous support of the following community members and merchants who are already throwing their weight behind Love Our Neighborhood Day.
21st Amendment, Acme, Actual Cafe/Victory Burger, Ashby Lumber, Bay Area Air Quality Management District, ClifBar, DestinyArts, INNAJam, Kaiser Permanente, McLaughlin Coffee Company, New Belgium, PLACE for Sustainable Living, Revolights, The Bureau 510, Rotten City, SPAGGIA, Sysco, and, of course, City of Emeryville and City of Oakland.
Proud to receive support from Sungevity and Lake Merritt Dental. Check out more info on how about these organizations, and how other businesses can support WOBO, through our new updated Business Partnerships page.
At WOBO, it’s always been more than just about walking and biking. We are advocating for safe, comfortable and accessible streets in order to solve some of our most complex neighborhood problems.
