Outstanding Faculty Voting

Thank you to everyone who voted for this year's Outstanding Faculty Awards. The outstanding faculty award winners will be announced in January.

Congratulations to Keith E., Ada K., and Dan P. from the UW MBA Consortium, who were randomly selected to win a $50 Amazon gift card for submitting their votes.

Fall Classes Coming to a Close

As the fall term begins to wind down, we wanted to remind you to download and save any materials you wish to retain after the end of the course, such as the syllabus, articles, and assignments you've submitted. Access to class closes approximately one month after the class officially ends.

Consortium News

In some newsletter issues, we'll publish updates featuring the UW MBA Consortium or its faculty, staff, and students in the news. Following are two recent highlights:

Dr. Paula Lentz, who teaches MBA 711, along with Kristen Getchell of Babson College won the Association for Business Communication's 2019 Distinguished Book on Business Communication award for their book, "Rhetorical Theory and Praxis in the Business Communication Classroom." The award was presented in October at the association's annual conference.

Mark Wehde, who teaches MBA 711 and MBA 764, and was the UW MBA Consortium's Outstanding Graduate in 2018, was elected to a 2-year term starting in January of 2020 on the board of governors of the IEEE Technology and Engineering Management Society (TEMS). TEMS is an international society with over 10,000 members. It is the largest engineering management society in the world. Its mission is to help engineering students and professionals learn and develop management and leadership skills and to foster communication between the academic and practicing communities.
