Greetings, everyone:

Here's hoping that you've had a fabulous February and that you're gearing up for a marvelous March. The next month brings a number of exciting happenings (Purim! the official release of Abigail Pogrebin's My Jewish Year and its author's packed event calendar!). Lots of good things.

As always, we invite you to keep in touch with us between newsletters by clicking any of the buttons above to "like" us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, and/or discover fresh content on our website. (If you have received this newsletter because someone has forwarded it to you, please be sure to subscribe for updates yourself.)

Thanks so much—and warm winter wishes to you.

Purim Is Coming–and So Is My Jewish Year

Abigail Pogrebin's forthcoming My Jewish Year: 18 Holidays, One Wondering Jew wouldn't be complete without an exploration of the Purim holiday. This year, Purim begins on March 11. And in preparation, JTA has recently published an excerpt from that section of the book.

"Purim is, hands down, the biggest party of the Jewish year," Abby writes. But as the JTA excerpt demonstrates, it also provides a deeply meaningful call to leadership.

Enjoy the read—and happy Purim!
One Final Pre-Publication Giveaway

This is the last time we'll be coaxing you to pre-order My Jewish Year in this newsletter. (We promise!)

And because the official publication date is coming up so soon—March 14—it's also the last time we'll be able to share a pre-publication giveaway with you. Please go visit the giveaway page on Goodreads to learn more.
ICYMI: Get Your Free E-Book

Did you have a chance to read last week's special message from our publisher? In his email, he thanked you personally for subscribing to this newsletter (and for reading and sharing it). Your support of our authors and books—and of Jewish literature more broadly—means so much to all of us at FTB.

As a token of our appreciation, we would like to invite all of our newsletter subscribers to download a free e-book. Please visit this link to obtain your copy. As always, we will be eager to hear your thoughts about the book after you’ve read it. We hope that you’ll share your views on Amazon, Goodreads, and/or any other book-focused platform you may frequent. And please let us know when you’ve done so (you’ll find us on Twitter and Facebook).

We also wanted to alert our newsletter subscribers ahead of the general public regarding an exciting new feature: We have teamed up with FlexPub, an e-book service, to provide substantial discounts on all of our previously published e-books. This program will debut later this spring. By purchasing e-books directly from our website using this new feature, you will be able to download our books quickly on a variety of devices (Kindle, Apple, Android). Please stay tuned for news about the launch of this program.

In the meantime, enjoy your complimentary e-book!
