Church Plant Update:

Feeling the affects of Covid19.  Our attendance is slightly down.  We still are broadcasting worship by Zoom each week, as well as allowing anyone who wants to attend in person to attend in person.  The weather is perfect for wide open windows and we sit as far apart as we can.  Most are wearing masks as well.  Our city has very low numbers of those testing positive but it may still be a while before we feel we can go completely back to normal.  We still are not eating together and we aren't back to having the kids Bible study times.

Finally we were able to have a baptism in early September!  The man who was baptized has been waiting almost a year to finally be able to follow through with this first step of obedience in faith.  Various things including a job transfer to another city for several months, and the corona virus, made it difficult to follow through with scheduled dates for his baptism  We look forward to watching him grow in his faith. He is back in Kitakyushu again now and joined us for worship this last Saturday.  Please pray for Mr. R.  We are so glad the Lord sent him to be part of our BFF family!

Outreach activities...

We are limited right now to only a few outreach activities.  One being our curry cooking classes.  We keep the numbers to only five at the most but almost all classes are full (two a month) and they are giving us a chance to meet new people almost each time.  Please pray new curry class participants will want to join us in worship also as we hope this will be a way new contacts enter into fellowship with those in our ministry!

After School Klub is back in session and back in person!  We are able to keep the kids safely distant and learning both Bible and English from the beginning of October, and we are so happy to have them back with us each week!  We lost a couple of students to club activities and other constraints on their time which often happens as kids get older.  Pray for all those still with us and those who can't attend right now, that God will keep teaching them who He is and keep drawing them to himself!

UPCOMING EVENT!  We are finally going to have an event.  We just couldn't miss doing our yearly Gospel Alive event so we rented an outdoor venue.  Please pray for this event coming up on November 7th!  We are putting more work into advertising online with videos and promotions.  With it being an outdoor event we pray lots will be motivated to get out and come, as it will be safe!  Pray for no rain that day!!!  Pray pray pray!  Click the words Gospel Alive above to see the promotional video we made!

Other Prayer Requests...

Hana has settled into life as a high school student at her private Christian school.  Marla is also settled in teaching a Bible class there and speaking in chapel services often at both the Jr. High/High School and the University.  Rocky too is often invited to speak.  We continue to work on music and Rocky is often in the studio, even though concert events are still few and far between.  We stay busy with regular Bible studies and ministry and are so thankful to so far be protected from the virus or any other ailment for that matter.  Except that fall allergies are hitting Marla hard this year, please pray she remains healthy despite the sneezing episodes!

We still have Yoshiya living and working with us as his start of international college in South Korea was put off another semester.  We are so glad he is still here to help with so many things, especially the tech side of ministry, and we don't know what we are going to do without him.  Despite the desire to keep him around, please pray for his spring entrance process to the University as well as the visa process.  He is hoping to move and begin school in February or March, after having patiently waited this whole first year out.

As always we would love to hear from you.  Please let us know how you and your family are during this tumultuous time around the world, and how we can be praying for you!

With all our Love,
The Aroma Team
