NSGC FACILITY UPDATES
As many of you may know, the condition of the NSGC Golf Course has been one of our biggest priorities. We have managed to keep the course in great shape with the conditions we battle on a day to day basis. The maintenance staff have done a superb job in providing all with some of the finest greens and playing conditions in the Caribbean!
In order to continually improve our course conditions, we have been working hard on a few projects throughout the golf course. Currently, the visual aesthetics are being improved between Hole #’s 11+12, with the mounds adjacent to 11 tee box being re-sodded. We are also adding some new irrigation lines and heads to some of the weaker areas of the course during our dry season. Finally, as I imagine many of you have been waiting for, we have started our driving range project by removing the top layer of the range. Phase One + Two of this project has begun and will continue for around two weeks(dependent on mother nature+ any unforeseeable issues that may arise). Phase One + Two work will begin each of these days, with the exception of weekends, at 7:00am and will go through 3:00pm. During this time our range will be closed as we will be moving dirt, leveling the grounds and preparing for sod to be placed. On the weekends the range will be open for normal hours from the artificial mats only. There will also be several pieces of equipment entering/leaving the range area through the golf car paths from Holes 1-2 / 9-10 which may cause minimal congestion. To alleviate this, during our range work hours, we will have someone in place to direct the traffic and keep the congestion to a minimum while causing little to no interruption to your round. We will re-open the range at 3:30pm each day during the initial phase and we will be on the mats until further notice. We apologize for any inconveniences the closure of the range, the heavy pieces of equipment coming in/out of the golf course or the noise levels may cause for your round. Please know that this is a must closure/update for NSGC to bring our practice facilities up to standards and offer our members and all guests optimal practice conditions.
All of us here at NSGC are excited about this update and hope everyone will welcome the changes we have in store. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding in all that we do here to make this the best possible facility we can offer to our members and all guests.
