This was a GREAT trip last year! Click here to see some pictures about the much anticipated 3rd course to open at Streamsong, the Black course. Our group will be one of the first to experience this new course. We do still have a few spots left, so hurry and sign up in the golf shop. Deadline to sign up is September 8.
Here are a couple pictures of the recent works to the fairway on 18. Before and after pictures of the area just short of the green. The maintenance staff will be performing these types of works throughout the summer and fall to address the poorer areas of the fairways.

We will begin a fairway aerification project next week that will take a couple weeks to complete, weather depending.

Book a Tee Time
Golf Tip of the Month

Are you trying to break 100, 80, or even par for the first time? If you’ve been close but cannot seem to shave those last couple of shots that it takes to break your scoring barrier, try moving up a set of tees. Obviously, it should be easier to shoot lower scores when you start closer to the hole, but that isn’t the point.  Don’t think that you’ll break your scoring barrier just by moving forward. Your expectations will naturally increase and the pressure you put on yourself to perform will go up. This too is helpful. In order to truly reach your potential, you’ll have to learn to play in the moment. Once you are more comfortable playing each shot as it comes, you’ll be able to move back to your normal tees and feel a lot more confident. That scoring barrier will fall in no time!

Rules section

In honor of Jordan Spieth’s famous driving range shot, here are your options when declaring your ball unplayable.
You may declare your ball unplayable at any place on the course EXCEPT when a ball is in a water hazard. You are the sole judge as to whether your ball is unplayable.
You have 3 options each carries a one stroke penalty:

  • Play a ball at the spot from which the original was last played (the stroke and distance).
  • Drop a ball within 2 club lengths of the spot where the ball lay, but not nearer the hole.
  • Drop a ball behind the point where the ball lay, keeping that point directly between the hole and the spot on which the ball is dropped, with no limit to how far behind that point the ball may be dropped. Note: If your ball is in a bunker, and you elect to use option 2 or 3, a ball must be dropped in the bunker.
Thanks for reading.
Until next month, see you on the course!
