Mobile Vaccine Units: Host One at Your Vineyard!

Mobile vaccination units are also available through both the Santa Barbara Vintners Foundation and the County of Santa Barbara.

1) The Santa Barbara Vintners Foundation, with the mission of 'Grounded in Giving' has a goal of bringing healthcare to our vineyard workers. The current pandemic has highlighted this need and we have been working with Community Health Centers (CHC) to accomplish bringing covid vaccines to our teams. To date, in the short amount of time we have had access to the vaccination, we have accomplished vaccinating around 700 vineyard workers by bringing a mobile medical clinic on site to vineyards throughout Santa Barbara County.

Please contact Jessica Gasca to plan:

2) The Santa Barbara County Public Health Department is excited to announce we will be having mobile teams available to conduct on-site COVID vaccine clinics across Santa Barbara County at worksite locations, housing facilities, churches, CBOs, warehouses, and other interested organizations. We will be administering the J&J Janssen COVID-19 vaccine, which is a one shot/dose vaccine

Our mobile teams can be available as early as April 15th and will be able to provide 100-200 appointments for each location. There must be a minimum of 80 appointments scheduled for each site.
We are also available to provide a one hour vaccine education session to interested locations before the clinic. The session will cover vaccine safety, efficacy, and a staff member will be available either on site or virtually to answer any questions your staff/clients/community may have.

To host a successful mobile vaccination clinic, we’ll need your assistance in:
  • Identifying eligible individuals who would like to receive a COVID-19 vaccine
  • Eligibility for vaccination is now open to anyone 18 and older.
  • Filling out consent forms and assigning appointment times
  • Providing a space to hold the clinic (inside or outside area)
  • Providing tents, tables, chairs, and water for the observation area
  • Providing staff to assist with the clinic (set-up, registration, translation etc.)
All organizations/facilities interested in hosting a COVID-19 vaccine clinic will need to fill out the following form:
