SCHOLAR SNAPSHOT: NICOLE MARTINO

"Dr. Nicole Martino, an Assistant Professor of Engineering at Roger Williams University, is researching a technology that not
only offers a more economical approach to bridge deck
inspection, but one that can also predict damage in its early
stages long before the safety of the general public is at risk."

Dr. Nicole Martino is currently working on a research project funded by the Collaborative that examines how other states fund their infrastructure projects and how these models compare to Rhode Island's funding structure. The results of her research project will be shared this spring.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR SCHOLARS

Research Projects: One of our goals is to continuously bring innovation to our process. Each research cycle, we offer multiple opportunities for researchers to engage with critical policy issues in Rhode Island.

Scholar Snapshots: The Collaborative works with scholars to create Scholar Snapshots that we publish on our website and share with policymakers, community leaders, partner organizations, fellow scholars, and the general public. Snapshots provide a brief, yet comprehensive look at the expertise of our Resource Network members.

For researchers who were unable to attend a working group or participate in a research project this year, but are interested in learning more about future funding opportunities or creating a Scholar Snapshot, please contact us at cassandra@collaborativeri.org.
