  • Advocacy Day at the Round House!
    • This Wednesday, NMCSAP and NMCA hosted an advocacy day for staff from programs across the state to meet with legislators and share our priorities with them!
    • If you want to join in the advocacy, sign up for weekly legislative action emails
  • Shantih Bisland, our Statewide SANE Coordinator, has resigned from the Coalition. We are so thankful for all the wonderful things Shantih has created and accomplished in her time with us and wish her all the best on the next step in her journey! We'll continue to include future SANE training info in our newsletters.
  • Welcome Virginia Pérez-Ortega! Virginia is joining NMCSAP as the Director of Community Collaborations on Access and Inclusion!
  • Youth Advocacy Summit hosted by NMCSAP and Girls Inc. of Santa Fe took place last week. Youth learned legislative advocacy tools and outlined the issues important to them!

Essentials of Child and Family Welfare for Programs and Providers

This training is for non-legal professionals with minimal experience in child & family welfare, or people with involvement with the system such as law enforcement, school counselors, or immigrant services. Topics include: the new Indian Family Protection Act, the effects of trauma, and a walk through of the legal process of child & family welfare law.
