Exhibit Highlight: Virtual Body Table




Connect to the world of science with our newly updated Virtual Body Table. Now you can discover the anatomy of five different animals - Chimpanzee, Golden Eagle, Grey Seal, Lion and Moose! Using hand gestures and a 60-inch touchscreen display, viewers can swipe, zoom and slice the images to gain a deeper understanding of the functions and processes inside the animal's body.

Come visit Science Mill staff at the upcoming Central Texas MiniCast! Stop by our booth to find out how to get the most out of your field trip experience or attend our session, Learning Lab: Zipping Towards STEM Careers, which will be held during the second session from 10:30am to 11:20am.
 
If you are searching for a new way to authentically get your kids interested in STEM, this is the session for you! During this lab, teachers will experience one of our most popular Learning Lab activities, Zip Away! Create a gondola for your zipline and engineer a braking mechanism to keep your ping pong ball passenger safe! Homeschool Day- January 11


NEW THIS SPRING... Learning Labs for all ages every month! We invite Homeschool families to join us on the second Wednesday of the month for Homeschool Days. As always, admission includes the Science Mill's hands-on, interactive exhibits, a 3D movie and special demonstrations and guests. The cost is $6 per student with 1 free educator per student. Additional adults are $10. No reservations required to attend Homeschool Day. Learn more….

Join us for the second annual Snow Day as the outdoor Science & Art Park is transformed into a winter wonderland!  Special Snow Day activities include an ice piano, snowball catapult launches, mini snowman building contest, snowball radar throws, and more! Visitors are encouraged to bring mittens or gloves to keep their hands warm while playing in the snow. We'll have twice as much snow (20 tons!!) as last year for twice the winter fun! Skip the line and purchase tickets online in advance! Members get in free. This event is sponsored by HEB.
