Livres Canada Books supports publishers on the stand by providing an interpreter and promotional tools, including a Mandarin-English directory of Canadian exhibitors at the Fair and the Rights Canada catalogue. The exhibitor package also includes the services of a Chinese-language and cultural advisor who will provide publishers with an analysis of the potential of their titles for the Chinese market, assistance in scheduling meetings with Chinese colleagues before the fair, and translation into Mandarin of the “sell sheets” for 2 titles.

A pay-per-title option is available for publishers who can’t attend the fair in person. The deadline to register is Monday, March 10, 2014. Visit our website for more information, or contact Programs Officer Priya Ramjuttun, by email or telephone at 613-562-2324, extension 227, for details.

2014-15 FRMAP, Mentoring Guidelines, Forms Available

Application guidelines and forms for FRMAP and the Mentoring - Funding Support program for 2014-15 are available on our website. The application deadline for both programs is April 1, 2014.

Livres Canada Books is making a significant effort to streamline the application process and facilitate, among other things, the provision of export sales data by introducing an online application option; however due to technical issues, we have postponed the launch of this new process until the 2015-16 application to properly test this process.

For more information, contact Programs Manager Christy Doucet, by email or telephone at 613-562-2324, extension 225.

2013-14 FRMAP claims

Unfortunately, given the unexpected volume of claims received under the FRMAP 2013-2014 program, we are unable to accept any further changes to the list of events we currently have on file from recipients until March 31, 2014. We understand the importance of maintaining flexibility in your choice of events throughout the year to take advantage of unexpected opportunities that may be available to you. Therefore, it will again be possible to make changes to your event list in 2014-2015.

For more information, contact Programs Manager Christy Doucet, by email or telephone at 613-562-2324, extension 225.

2013-14 Mentoring - Funding Support Final Reports

Guidelines and forms will be sent to publishers this month to assist in preparing final reports under the Mentoring - Funding Support Program for 2013-14. The deadline to submit reports is Friday May 2, 2014.
