The 53rd edition of the Bologna Children’s Book Fair drew over 25,000 visitors, and 1,200 exhibitors from 98 countries attended. The Canada Stand was fully booked with eight publishers exhibiting and two who chose the pied-à-terre option. In all, 30 Canadian publishers participated in the Fair.

The London Book Fair returned to the Olympia Convention Centre April 12th to the 14th for another successful edition. Our new location in the international hall was a vast improvement over the location in 2015. The Canada Stand hosted successful business meetings and welcomed higher traffic along its aisles.

The Canada Stand was brimming with 14 exhibitors and many other Canadian publishers exhibited on their own stands, on the stands of their distributor, or in the Rights Center.
On April 11th, the High Commission of Canada to the United Kingdom, hosted the Canadian Fair participants to a reception at the newly renovated Canada House. On April 12th, with the sponsorship of the Ontario Media Development Council, the Canada Stand welcomed exhibitors and their guests to a reception and networking event in order to kick off the beginning of the fair.

We invite you to take a look at our Facebook page to see photos of the Stand and the networking reception.

Don’t forget to let us know of any deals negotiated at the London Book Fair and we’ll promote these in our newsletter and on social networks.

For more information on the Canada Stand, visit our website or contact Programs Officer, Olivia Robinson, by email or telephone at 613 562-2324, extension 227.

The Canada Stand for the 2016 Frankfurt Book Fair is rapidly filling up, but there are still some spots available. Space is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
