Canada Stand

Frankfurt Book Fair Recap

With 48 Canadian publishers exhibiting on the Canada collective stand in Frankfurt, it was another busy year for exhibitors on the Canada Stand at the 2014 Frankfurt Book Fair. While participant numbers provided by the fair were down this year, exhibitor feedback reported focused and productive meetings. When it was announced that Malala Yousafzai would be the Nobel Peace Prize recipient for 2014, Second Story Press experienced a rights-buying stampede for their book Every Day is Malala Day, an illustrated letter addressed to the 17-year-old Pakistani education activist. Congratulations!

It was also confirmed with fair authorities that the exhibitors of Hall 8 will be moving to Hall 6 in 2015.  More details will be shared as they become available.
