Meet our Israel Mission consultants
Yael Shefer has been part of the cultural world in Israel for the past 25 years as a cultural and literary advisor, and artistic director. During this time Yael initiated and directed the First International Writers' Festival in Jerusalem. Later, Yael was the literary advisor to President of Israel Mr. Shimon Peres, organizing the cultural events at the President's Residence. For five years Yael was the Cultural advisor at the Jerusalem Development Authority, overseeing all cultural events in the City. Yael has also managed many literary events, book launches and literary and poetry festivals with the leading authors in Israel. Recently, Yael was the artistic director for the 27th International Book Fair in Jerusalem.
Gilad Newman has over 12 years of experience in producing cultural events including international literature and poetry festivals, conferences, seminars, book launches, and concerts. Gilad produced the First international Writers Festival in Jerusalem, as well as many other literary events and book launches. Gilad has also worked with many of the leading book publishers in Israel on marketing campaigns, promoting the sale of books and literary events.
