K*I*D*S Worship Resumes Sunday
Our children’s program will resume this Sunday, September 8. As before, kids who want to participate will leave the regular service after the opening collect and return during the peace. But they’re not leaving church! We follow a child-level liturgy that includes singing, reading Scripture, listening to a story/homily, affirming a creed, even collecting an offering—just on a kids’ level. All kids (and interested adults!) are invited to join us, but we do ask that littles ones younger than 5 be accompanied by a parent.
Bill Allen and Anne Buchanan, who direct K*I*D*S Worship, are actively seeking help with this vital program—in other words, we need some help if this program is going to continue. If you are willing to worship with us from time to time or to sub for Bill or Anne occasionally, either during worship time of during our monthly “Funday Sunday” times after the 10 o’clock service, please let us know. It’s lots of fun. It involves very little prep. And it’s a great way to invest in the future of our church!

Hanging on the Screen at the back of the church are three quilted hangings created by Rosemary England.
  • September Souls commemorates those who lost their live in the attacks of 9/11/2001
  • Phoenix Triumphant represents the spirit of rebirth from the ashes of adversity
  • Autumn Gulls commemorates the dearths of John Kennendy, Jr., his wife, and her sister

Blessing Box: Interested in helping with the Blessing Box? See Sandy Bush
or Deby Veach after the service to see what you could bring or donate.  Some
suggested items are Vienna sausages, potted meats, canned fruit, ready to eat
soups, canned pasta, and canned vegetables. Pop top lids are preferred. We also
need volunteers to fill the box during the week.
Quarters for Clean Clothes Ministry launders clothes for those in need and the homeless every Wednesday. Donation boxes for quarters are on the bulletin tables in the church.
