We still have some places left on our workshops starting next Tuesday evening. In case you missed the info in our last newsletter, here it is again with some bonus content!

We’d love you to join us.

This ‘map’ was made by Cecilia, Mary and Letitia. This is what they said about what it represents from their conversations.

‘This vertical map describes a journey but it doesn't tell you how to get there. Lots of Carrickfergus can feel hidden or in the past. But our experience is of exploring and finding paths to new places, people and opportunities...our Here and Now.’

You can join one or both workshops by responding to this email.

On Tuesday 21 September from 7pm we’ll go on a dander around the town for around 2 hours, exploring Carrick’s histories, thinking about how we use the town and why, and photographing our favourite places.

On 5 October from 7-9pm we’ll use these photographs, archive images and other materials, to make our own maps of Carrick and share our experiences of our town with each other.

You can call into our Talking Shop on Saturday between 11am and 2pm and see some of the maps that we have made in various workshops

Adrian Hack, who took part in our first series of workshops online, blogged for us about his experience.

Looking forward to seeing you next Tuesday evening.
