Northern Wisconsin Business Receives 0% Loan for Expansion

Tri-State Lumber and Land has expanded their forest products business located in Trego, Wisconsin, thanks to a $657,000 loan at 0% rate of interest provided by Barron Electric Cooperative.  The loan was used to finance the construction of a new building and to purchase two new kilns.  As a result of the expansion Tri-State plans to add as many as 10 new jobs.
Founded in 1996, Tri-State Lumber and Land produces high-grade lumber, paneling, flooring, corner trim and moldings for wholesale and retail markets.

New Fertilizer Plant to be built in East Dubuque, Illinois
 

Rentech Nitrogen Partners L.P. and Tessenderlo Kerley, Inc. have announced an agreement that will result in the construction of a new $20 million fertilizer plant to be located in Jo Daviess County, Illinois.  As a result of the project, TKI plans to create as many as 16 new jobs for the area.  Rentech’s East Dubuque facility will provide the new plant with ammonia, a key ingredient for the production of fertilizer.  When completed, the new plant will enhance TKI’s position as the world’s largest producer of sulfur-based liquid fertilizers.
