I just got back from KubeCon which was held in Shanghai this year.  It was very humbling to meet many Jenkins X community folks who are adopting the platform and to learn how excited they are to leverage its power.

This year, the Continuous Delivery Summit was also held at the venue.  I had the pleasure of meeting Christie WilsonKim Lewandowski and Dan Lorenc.  They lead the Tekton project at Google, and are just such a wonderful team all around.  We are working very closely with them as it relates to the Jenkins X integration.

Later in the week, I sat down with a good friend, Nic Jackson - Developer Advocate at HashiCorp, makers of the great stack which includes Vault, Terraform Nomad and others.  We discussed Vault integration with Jenkins X.  The key takeaway from our conversation was that once you start working on Jenkins X multi-cluster scenarios, and want to have a single Vault instance, you will want to have the Vault Enterprise edition, as it is can handle this scenario as it relates to the replication of data across clusters.

There were many great moments where people came up to the booth, and expressed their gratitude for all the work that is being done with Jenkins X.  I captured this moment here, where Viktor Farcic is approached by one of many fans.

I recently shared a survey on Twitter, but wanted to share it with you here.  If you want to influence the key features implemented on Jenkins X, please take a couple of minutes to fill it out.  It would help me figure out what features to prioritize.

Next Issue

In the next issue, I plan to highlight a bit more about Jenkins X technical updates and give you more insight as to what critical changes have been in the works or recently merged that you might not know about.

As always, if you have feedback and/or questions, please send me a note.
