Dylan Armstrong Classic

This club meet continues to grow and evolve. This year we had 182 athletes attend, mostly from British Columbia clubs. We were very pleased that 41 of our club athletes were able to register this year. A number of these athletes did not attend the meet, despite registering to compete. We hope that all of our registered club members will attend the meet next year. This meet is one of the two club meets we have designated for our club members to register for up to three events at no charge ...

North and West Zones Championship

This meet is available to high school athletes in the North and West Okanagan High School Zones. From the West zone, all high schools in SD #73 (Kamloops/Thompson) are eligible to compete, along with SD #59 (Nicola-Similkameen) and SD #74 (Gold Trail). The North Zone includes all Secondary and Middle Schools from SD #83 (North Okanagan-Shuswap) and from SD #22 (Vernon).

These zones are relatively small, but take in a lot of area in the province. Therefore, this is not an exceptionally large meet. In all, there were 314 registered athletes. Of this number, 9 schools, 110 athletes from the West zone, and 15 schools, 190 athletes from the North Zone competed at the meet.

Okanagan Valley Track and Field Championship

This meet was an invitational meet for athletes who participated in their zone meets and achieved 1st - 4th place standing in their various events. 425 athletes were registered to compete, although not all of them were able to get here for various reasons.

Club Registration

Athletes who are attending practices with the club, and who have not yet paid their fees for the Outdoor Season are creating problems for the club being able to pay our coaches. If you think you may be one of those who has not yet paid your fees, please check with your coach to see if you are on the latest list that has been sent to each of them. Their list shows those who have registered for this season.

You could also check with the club Registrar, Brian Beck (registrar@kamtrack.ca) to determine if your fees have been paid, and to find out how much you owe.

Invoices will be sent out for overdue fees by the end of June.

Summer Camp

Kamloops Track and Field Club will be holding a Summer Camp this year. The camp will take place from July 3-5 at Hillside Stadium. It is available for families who would like their children to get some Run Jump Throw training in a supervised camp.

The camp will run from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm each of the days. Athletes may be dropped off at the Stadium starting at 7:30 am when our supervisors/coaches will be there to receive them. The fee for the camp is $75 per child.

Register for this camp on TrackieReg at - http://www.trackiereg.com/2017KAMLsummer_camp
