Happy Thanksgiving From BRRC

We all love Thanksgiving for its focus on family, food, and football.  But it also provides us a chance to look at the pleasures that life brings us and to give thanks.  BRRC wishes you a Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving and says "Thank You" for being part of our running family.

Membership Renewal Begins Dec 1

Beginning in 2014, BRRC converted to a calendar year membership.  All membership renewals for next year will have an effective date of January 1, 2015.

We will open the renewal process beginning December 1.  Members will have the opportunity to renew, and be eligible for next year's Grand Prix Series, until January 31, 2015.

Watch BRRC.com for an announcement of the opening of the renewal period.  In addition, an email reminder will be sent on or around December 1.  We thank you in advance for your cooperation as we begin this process.

Quote of the Month

"The music of a marathon is a powerful strain, one of those tunes of glory. It asks us to forsake pleasures, to discipline the body, to find courage, to renew faith and to become one's own person, utterly and completely."
Dr. George Sheehan

Seeking Volunteers

We are seeking members to volunteer with events in 2014.  There are opportunities for directing races, assisting with races, and helping with club administration.  Our strength as a Club is dependent on the commitment of our volunteers.  Please let us know that you would like to help.

About BRRC

The Baltimore Road Runners Club was founded in 1971 by Les Kinion to promote running for both the recreational and the competitive runner.   The BRRC is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization sanctioned by the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA).

Our current membership includes runners of all abilities and ages who can enjoy our events on the road, track or trails.  Whether your goal is to run a marathon or to get into shape, you will find other club members who share your interests.  We offer programs and opportunities for the newcomers to the experienced.

As an active member of the Baltimore Road Runners Club you will enjoy the benefits of our organized training programs, sponsored races, social outings, and volunteer opportunities. There are plenty of fun and exciting activities scheduled throughout the year.
