New Race - Baltimore St Patrick's Day 5K!

10 Mile Club Challenge
The annual RRCA Club Challenge will be held on February 26th in Columbia. This race, hosted by the Howard County Striders, offers a competition among Maryland running clubs on a difficult 10 mile course through Columbia.  BRRC will once again include this race in its own GPS Series.

There is no race day registration and online registration closes on February 18 at 11:59pm.
BRRC pays the race registration fees for this race for current club members. You must be a current member to run this race! If you have not yet renewed your membership, do so before registering for the race. We will only be able to allow current members to run. The race is limited to 1000 runners.  Please note that because it is limited to the first 1000 registrants, you may not get in. BRRC cannot control this situation, as there are many different clubs in Maryland registering runners for the race.

Registration can be found here.

Baltimore's St. Patricks Day 5K

A St. Patrick's Day race on St. Patrick's Day.

This 5K, brought to you by the Baltimore Road Runners Club, will take place on March 17 at 6:30pm in Patterson Park. A twilight race!

The course layout is 100% asphalt and stays on the wider sections of roadway (no vehicles) through Patterson Park. There is one large climb in the 2nd mile but you’re rewarded with a run-by of the Pagoda and a long descent to the Pulaski Monument before finishing. We will have mile marks and split times.

Wear your lucky green shirt or dress for success, St. Patrick's style, for after the race.

Celebrate with a beer after the race - on us!

All runners will receive a pair of tall argyle shamrock socks and a voucher for a draught beer of your choice at Kislings Tavern, good until 9 PM on the night of the race.
Please bring your ID.

Awards: Top 4 overall male and female - $60, $50, $40, $30

First masters male and female - $50

Best 3 St. Patrick’s Day themed outfits - 2 Kislings vouchers each. Double dipping is allowed.

Special awards for the male & female dressed as a Cheeto Head Leprechaun. This race is gonna be Yuuuggggeee.

Cupid's Crush Love

This year's Cupid's Crush was another great example of what BRRC is all about. The running community rallied together to bring almost 200 runners to a cool rainy February morning in Druid Hill Park. Back on My Feet Baltimore brought a HUGE group of runners to participate! On the course, no one even flinched at the downed tree they had to crouch under at the half-mile mark.

The club was able to offer $20 registration to members that included a cozy knit cap premium. This was in large part due to others offering their time and services to be a part of the event. A special thanks to Nut Hall and Maryland Timing for chip timing the race. Another special thanks to John Roemer IV and Karsten Brown for taking photos and posting them on BRRC's Flickr site for free download. These things, along with others, are what helped make this race stand out among the others.

We saw some fast times on a tough course with Dustin Meeker winning the men's race in 28:17 and Laura Mortimer leading the women in 34:17. Age group and fastest couples awards were presented at the pavilion shortly after the race. Full results can be found here.

Thanks to all of our runners who made this race such a success!

Thanks to our wonderful volunteers too! Cupid's Crush would not be a hit without you! Cindy Richardson, Dan Forloine, Peyton Forloine, Jessica Krueger, Tom Nasuta, Bailey St.Clair, Joe Burdyck, Henry Peck, Graham Peck, Tom Jennings, Casey Fisher, Buddy Weber, Mike Schwartz, Dale Jordan, Ken Furman, Dan Macedo, Christian Creutzer and Maureen Hall
