New Membership Renewal Now Active
As announced in previous updates and at last week's General Membership Meeting, beginning in January 2014, BRRC will renew all members at the beginning of the year. This change will allow the Club better management of membership and qualification for the Grand Prix Series and other Club awards.

To make the renewal process more convenient, renewal is now open. Plus, if you renewed or joined anytime in December, your membership is active through 2014. Thank you for your understanding as we make this change.

Middle Distance Training Group Winter-Spring Program to Begin Soon
On January 9 at the Goucher College track, the BRRC Middle Distance Training Group (MDTG) will begin its Winter/Spring program. Are you interested in training for one of the Spring half-marathons or perhaps the famous Cherry Blossom 10 Miler? Have you always wanted to try a training group but have never taken that first step? Have you thought about track work as part of your training but failed to get out? The MDTG provides a wonderful opportunity to work with RRCA certified coaches to execute a training program that will help you achieve your race results. And, it's free! All that is required is BRRC membership and a willingness to show up at the sessions and run. All paces are welcome.

Join BRRC at Across the Bay 10K
BRRC is fielding a team at the Across the Bay 10K race! Email Ginnie Welsh at
vjwelsh@gmail.com if you’re interested in signing up. She has a few team-discount slots and access to some of the Ambassador codes for a 10% discount. You can also join the team if you’ve already registered.

Ginnie has instructions for how to do that, as well. The race is half sold out, and there are only two more ticket-sale waves, one in January and one in March. The first wave sold out in 4 days, and the entire race will be sold out by mid-March.
